Prior to that, he was Vice President, Marketing and Creative Services at WHDH-TV, the Boston CBS Affiliate, where he headed up an in-house agency for eleven years and was a key member of the executive management group that reversed the downward trending of that station and made it competitive with top stations in the market. While at WHDH, he was personally commended by the City of Boston and the Greater Boston Visitors and Convention Bureau for a campaign that generated an estimated two million dollars in national promotion for local tourism.
His background in graphic design led him to manage the creation and execution of several successful TV station brand identities during the first part of his career. Notable were those for WSBK-TV 38, Boston; WDIV-TV 4, Detroit; and WHDH-TV 7, Boston. Weisberg and his staff were the recipients of numerous industry awards.
Dick was born, raised and educated in the Boston area. He is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art. He’s had a variety of articles published in professional publications and was a contributing author in the first broadcast marketing textbook. He has been a guest lecturer at several New England area colleges and most recently was an adjunct advertising professor at Simmons College in Boston.
